The device is intended for assembly or disassembly of self-regulating couplings
(Self Adjusting Clutch). SAC couplings with disk wear compensation mechanism
clutch are increasingly used in passenger cars of all
brands. To ensure correct operation of the SAC clutch, a pre-tension is necessary
central spring both during assembly and disassembly of the clutch disc.
Thanks to the SAC couplings / disassembly device, it is ensured
proper pressure on the central disc spring which guarantees correct operation of the clutch.
Installation of SAC couplings without the use of specialized devices causes
undesirable rotation of the adjusting ring with spacers, which can lead to permanent damage to the clutch.
It is used in SAC couplings in cars of the following brands:
- Audi A3, A4, A6, A8
- VW Passat, Golf, Sharan, Tiguan
- Ford Mondeo, S-Max, Galaxy, Transit
- Mercedes C, E, CLS, S, CLK, SLK, SL
- BMW 320, 330, 520, 530
- Alfa Romeo 147, 159, 166
- Fiat Ulysse, Croma, Ducato
- Lancia Phedra, Thesis
- and other.
The set consists of, among others from:
- a pressing element and 3- and 4-leg brackets,
- conical mandrels for expanding the centering points of the clutch disc,
- universal centering roller with guide and tensioning element,
- centering bolts for the pilot bearing.
